    Are you concerned a resident has experienced child maltreatment and/or sexual abuse? Do you suspect a resident is depressed, suicidal, and/or suffering from substance abuse issues? These resources can help you identify and respond to adolescents in crisis.

    Residents may have questions about the legal process and turn to you for guidance. LGBTQ unaccompanied children may have opportunities for immigration relief, and it is important that you understand how current immigration law might protect the children in your care, and why you should encourage them to disclose relevant information to their attorneys.

    LGBT adolescents have unique physical and mental health concerns beyond those they share with their heterosexual counterparts. Review the following resources to answer their questions and understand the health issues affecting this community.

    LGBTQ adolescents are at an elevated risk of violence or self-harm within the residence. These tools and resources will help you address the safety concerns specific to LGBTQ youth.

    Evaluación

    ¿Está usted preocupado que un residente ha experimentado maltratamiento como menor y/o abuso sexual? ¿Sospecha usted que un residente está deprimido, con tendencia suicida, y/o sufriendo de problemas de toxicomanía?  Estos recursos le pueden ayudar identificar  y responder a adolescentes en crisis.
